Vendor Testimonials (by the Bride)

Aside from our friends and family, there were the usual assortment of photographers, videographers, florists, etc... that we used and were quite happy about. So if you're in the market for any of these services, you should check out these companies. (listed by alphabetical order)

ET Music
Dear Eddy,
First of all, I'm sorry you've seldom had to feel so stressed by a customer's expectations because I know you've had so much experience in what you do that you've hardly had the need to feel so. In my case, I went to you with a chip on my shoulder from my bad experience with another entertainment company (who did my sister's wedding) and I guess it made you feel you had something to prove. Especially since your price was slightly higher. However, I'm glad you proved to me beyond any shred of doubt that you are able to provide far better customer satisfaction.

Besides the fact that you gave me your personal reassurance on the quality and the experienced repertoire of your band in playing for popular singers, I was also really touched by your sincerity. You provided me with suggestions (getting Wen to sing to me during one of our entrances) and recommendations (improving the sound system for my parent's song item) that really helped to make my wedding an enjoyable one. Also, although your price was slightly higher, I knew that I could rely on your expertise unreservedly and that made the entire wedding planning that much easier. I heard from my helpers that you even assisted in reassuring my parents when they got a little nervous during rehearsals about their singing!

Jasmine Tiong
Dear Jasmine,
I'm glad I trusted my mum's recommendation to book you as my make-up artist. You are such a down-to-earth person with a great sense of humor that I thoroughly enjoyed all our close-up sessions. The make-up you did for me suited each situation whether it was for the photo shoot or for the dramatic evening appearance during the wedding dinner. Once again, thank you!

La Brise
Dear Betty,
It wasn't easy deciding on which florist to go with initially but I was soon completely won over by your sincerity and the knowledge that you wanted the best for my wedding. Planning the wedding on my own was no easy job and you definitely helped to make it that much easier for me, especially since I wasn't exactly the most easy-going customer as I worried over almost everything.

The pyramid candles stood out from the typical wedding decor and you were very receptive to all my suggestions, including that of removing the big fountain from the stage even though it was probably a significant part of your brilliant creation. After the wedding, I heard from my helpers that before dinner, you were seen going through the decor meticulously and I must say that I greatly appreciate your attention to detail.

You also showed me great passion in your work and affected me with your enthusiasm when I mentioned that I was considering aromatherapy wedding favors. I remember you emphasized that the atomizers would be an unusual gift and was touched when you tried hard to fit the budget given by the hotel by working with me to bring the cans over. In the end, the additional cost was nothing compared to the impression left on my guests and the 'fun' we had selecting the best fragrance late one evening. Oh, and did I mention that at least a couple of my guests were pleasantly surprised by the 'aroma of love' when they entered the ballroom instead of the typical musty smell?

Keep up your good work and your passion in what you do. There are lots more brides who need to add that magical touch to their wedding with an aroma to remember it by.

Photolanguage
Dear Ray,
Thanks for watching out for my faults so that I could look like a flawless bride. Well, as close to flawless as possible without the help of photo editing. =) You even managed to help Wen & I to look relaxed in the photos in spite of your usually reserved nature. I love your photography style because you use really vibrant colors and have a knack for taking shots that capture the most poignant moments. And finally, I really appreciate the fact that the photos were ready so quickly after both the photo shoot and the actual day. I'm glad I listened to Jean so we had the pleasure of engaging your very professional services.

Raffles Hotel
Dear Sharul, Yang Chin, & Team
Thank you for having the dos and don'ts of a great wedding at your fingertips. Each of you remained calm in the midst of the chaos that you must be quite used to by now, and possibly even thrive on. Your calm confidence helped to keep us (me) from hyperventilating and saved my husband from a hysterical bride. Sharul, thank you especially for coordinating the package details from start to finish, and now in trying to resolve the little hiccup with the billing.

We also had a great experience during our 2-nights stay with the entire service team and would definitely love to be a 'resident' at the Raffles again someday

Ted Wu
Dear Ted, Jean and Assistants,
I saw your creations at a bridal show less than a year before my wedding and never looked back. Although, some might think I was quite impulsive since I signed up with a comprehensive package as well as an Actual Day photographer (based on Jean's recommendation alone) on my first visit to your boutique. My slight apprehension was soon eased when we finally got to meet and discuss the designs. I loved every one of the dresses you came up with and it was so difficult trying to choose a favorite. My mum even suggested taking one of the evening gown designs to be used as my cheongsam/tea dress. In fact, besides buying a total of two gowns and two dresses from you, my husband also got a suit and two shirts from you. I'd say we were pretty devoted to you and all for good reasons.

(1) You are friendly and dedicated to providing your brides with unique gowns by providing at least three designs for each MTM outfit. (2) You gave us express service when we came to you less than two weeks before our photo shoot to make a suit and shirt for my husband. (3) You didn't criticize my figure and only gave me tips on what needed enhancing or improvement. (4) You don't charge exorbitant prices and give exclusive rates for OTR dresses and from your Men's collection for your brides. (5) Your staff are friendly and always ready with a smile. And finally, (6) We love your work!

Wedding Paparazzi
Dear Blossom & Ava,
I was won over by your work when I saw it at a friend's wedding and almost immediately decided that if I could afford a Videographer, it would be Wedding Paparazzi. Thereafter I made some attempt to be fair by researching other Wedding Videographer companies but I guess first love is always harder to forget and I came back to you guys. In fact, although I was initially hoping for a bigger discount, I soon began to feel that we got our money's worth just by your willingness to work around my busy schedule and your excellent correspondence speed. In other words, I never had to wait long to get a reply from you whether over the Internet or via SMS. On top of that, you were always open to the ideas I had for my wedding and even did the short clip of us running up to the ballroom as part of our first entrance for the dinner with no questions asked.

We signed up for the same Long Story Short package I'd seen and I can safely say that all my guests thoroughly enjoyed the little peek into our morning activities. Your fast-paced editing and intuitive selection of the best shots made the hour my Jie Meis spent fighting for my honor look that much more boisterous. One of our guests who would be getting married later in the year even felt somewhat regretful for signing up with a well-known Videographer for their wedding. Unfortunately, our limited budget meant that we could only afford to add Photo Montage to our package with you and I'm really glad we did. Not only did you went out of your way to accommodate our numerous photos, you also managed to rush it in time for us to screen it at our Taiwan wedding and incorporate some of those photos for our Singapore wedding less than a week later! It was definitely one less thing I had to worry about.

If I had any regrets at all, it was the custom video we never made. I think if we had the time and money, the custom video we were initially considering would probably have turned out very well just from looking at the standard of work you gave us. Maybe we can do one should we ever decide to renew our vows!
